1.	Kde se festival pořádá?
	Matjes Days se pořádají především v restauracích a hospodách v Praze a blízkém okolí a postupně ho budeme rozšiřovat i mimo Prahu

	Where is the festival held?
	Matjes Days are primarily held in restaurants and pubs in Prague and its surrounding areas, with plans to expand beyond Prague.

2.	Kdy se festival koná?
	2. vlna festival se koná od 1. – 9. února 2025

	When does the festival take place?
	The second wave of the festival will take place from 1.-9. February 2025.

3.	Jaká je nabídka festivalu?
	Během eventu budete mít příležitost ochutnat matjesy se slevou 50% z běžné ceny restaurace / hospody.

	What is the special offer during the festival?
	During the event, you’ll have the opportunity to taste matjes at a 50% discount from the usual price of the participating restaurant/pub.

4.	Jak uplatním slevu 50%? Existuje nějaký voucher?
	Abyste získali slevu 50%, není potřeba stahovat žádný voucher, stačí přijít do jedné z účastnících se restaurací během eventu a objednat si matjese. 50% sleva bude aplikována automaticky. Rezervace není povinná, nicméně to doporučujeme.

	How can I receive the 50% discount? Is there a voucher?
	To receive the 50% discount, there’s no need to download a voucher. Simply visit one of the participating restaurants during the event and order matjes. The 50% discount will be applied automatically. Reservations are not required but are recommended.

	The current list of restaurants will be regularly updated on our website. We also recommend following our social media pages, HopiFishHub.

6.	Lze výběr restaurací filtrovat?
	Ano, filtrovat lze dle lokality, kategorie podniku a podle menu

	Can I filter the restaurant selection?
	Yes, you can filter by location, type of establishment, and menu.

7.	Jaké druhy matjesů budou v nabídce?
	V nabídce budou pravé holandské matjesy (tj. panenský sleď) nikoliv sledě nakládané v solném roztoku, oleji nebo z plechovky apod, které jsou v čechách běžné. Chuť i textura matjese jsou skutečně velmi jiné. Matjesy mají jemnou máslovou texturu a doslova se rozplývají na jazyku. Navíc nemají žádné přidané konzervační látky. Ochutnáte čistou rybu, která vás svou chutí velmi překvapí – 98% panenský sleď, 2% sůl.

	What types of matjes will be available?
	The star of the event is a real Dutch matjes (virginal herring, basicaly herring without any signs of roe and eggs), not herring in salt, oil, or from cans, which are common in the Czech Republic. The taste and texture of matjes are entirely different. They have a creamy, buttery texture and literally melt in your mouth. Moreover, they contain no added preservatives. You’ll taste pure fish, which consists of 98% virginal herring and 2% salt. Their flavor will truly surprise you.

8.	Jaké budou nabízené recepty nebo úpravy pravých matjesů?
	Matjes je ryba, která se nemusí tepelně upravovat a tudíž je ideálním jídle např. k pivu ve své základní formě. Tzn 2 filety, s trochou cibulky a chlebem. I přes tuto jednoduchost se jedná o naprostou delikatesu. Každopádně se z matjesů dá vytvořit nespočet různých dalších receptů, o které se postarají některé restaurace vyšší kategorie. Jejich menu bude k shlédnutí na našich webových stránkách.

	What recipes or preparations of true matjes will be offered?
	Matjes is a fish that doesn’t require cooking, making it an ideal dish, for example, served with beer in its basic form: two fillets, a bit of onion, and bread. Despite its simplicity, it’s a true delicacy. Additionally, many variations and recipes can be created with matjes. Some high-end restaurants will offer special dishes using matjes, and their menus will be available on our website.

9.	Můžu přijít i s někým, kdo nejí ryby?
	Ano, samozdřejmě můžete. Restaurací budou mít společně s matjesy i jejich běžnou nabídku.

	Can I come with someone who doesn’t eat fish?
	Yes, of course. Restaurants will have their regular menus available alongside matjes dishes.

11.	Jídlo mi nechutnalo, kde si mohu stěžovat?
	Doporučujeme kontaktovat restauraci, a ideálně řešit tento problém přímo na místě. Ačkoliv za toto nenese organizátor zodpovědnost, budeme rádi, když nás budete informovat na web. stránkách Kontakty – Matjes Days.

	What if I don’t like the food? Where can I file a complaint?
	We recommend contacting the restaurant and ideally resolving the issue directly on-site. Although the organizer is not responsible for this, we’d appreciate it if you informed us through the “Contacts” page on our website under Matjes Days.

12.	Budou se konat i jiné podobné eventy v budoucnu?
	Ano, máme pro vás připraveno mnoho dalších eventů s mořskými plody a rybami, včetně mini eventů jako je Matjes Days a festivalů 1+1, jako je Czech Mussel Week. Celý kalendář našich eventů na rok 2025 budeme zveřejňovat na nových stránkách festivalů – Hopifishevents.cz, které pro vás právě připravujeme.

	Will there be other similar events in the future?
	Yes, we have many other events featuring seafood and fish planned for you, including mini-events like Matjes Days and 1+1 festivals, such as Czech Mussel Week. We’ll publish the full 2025 event calendar on our new festival website, Hopifishevents.cz, which we are currently preparing.
